Glen Eira City Council is a local government body located 10kms from Melbourne CBD, serving a diverse community of more than 141,000 people. The body covers a range of services, from planning, building and maintain city roads, footpaths, parks and leisure facilities to providing economical advice to local businesses and collecting waste. For its support to its workforce, in 2015 Glen Eira City Council has been recognised as an Employer of Choice in The Australian Business Awards.

Each year performance reviews are conducted and, based on employee’s success relating to performance objectives, higher salaries are awarded.
