The organisation also supports employees through tough times, with an Employee Assistance Program that is confidential and available to all staff.

Employees are privy to a reward and remuneration program where success in the areas of leadership excellence, customer service, teamwork and health and safety are nominated for the annual IRT award.

The organisation puts money behind health-minded events such as fun runs, Sydney to the Gong bike ride, and the September walking challenge. These events are listed on the wellness calendar and distributed to all employees.

IRT Group Chief Executive Nieves Murray said it was an honour for IRT Group to be selected as an Employer of Choice in The Australian Business Awards 2015.

“The strength, reputation and success of our business is due to the contribution of all employees, many of whom have demonstrated outstanding loyalty,” Ms Murray said.

“The average tenure is five and a half years and in the past financial year, eight employees were recognised for service of 25 and 30 years.”
