Lilydale has been an established and iconic Australian Free Range chicken brand since 2001, the pioneer in bringing free range chicken to major supermarkets.
The company conducted some market analysis to discover if there was a demand for additional products. They discovered that the sales of whole chickens were declining, particularly due to lengthy cooking time; that time and convenience was important to consumers and that shoppers didn’t want to sacrifice time for quality.
The free range chicken company recognised a market gap and decided to provide customers with meal solutions that were time convenient and didn’t compromise on quality. In winter 2014 the company launched their Mini Roasts as a part of their “Ready for You” range, which come ready to put in the oven.
The Mini Roast has been created using simple, yet sophisticated ingredients. The Lilydale Mini Roasts, rolled and netted to ensure all flavours are not lost whilst cooking, comes with a date and rosemary quinoa stuffing, and is garnished with a fresh sprig of rosemary. They are sold in an ovenable tray, ready to place straight into the oven; taking 45 minutes to be ready. Each 600gm pack comes with two roasts, neatly separated by a divider, portioned to serve two.
The Lilydale Mini Roast has been recognised as an ABA100 Winner for Best New Product in the Australian Business Awards 2015.
